1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how First Aid: Outlands ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App on your iPhone or iPad. We designed the App to work without collecting personal data. Please read this policy carefully; by using the App you agree to the practices described here.
2. Summary
First Aid: Outlands does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. The App works entirely offline. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party software development kits. Nothing you do in the App leaves your device.
3. Information we do not collect
- Name, email address, phone number or any other contact details.
- Location data.
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers or IP addresses.
- Usage statistics, crash reports or diagnostic data.
- Health or medical information about you or anyone else.
The App has no network connection and no server component. We have no way to see who uses the App or how it is used.
4. Data stored on your device
To remember your progress and preferences, the App saves the following information locally on your device only:
| Data | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress (XP, stars, completed missions, streak, badges, daily call history, Codex reading state) | Remembering your progress between launches | A JSON file in the App's private Documents folder |
| Field Journal entries and the notes you write | Your personal rescue log | Same JSON file |
| Kit Log photos and avatar image | Showing the real items you logged and your ranger avatar | Resized JPEG files in the App's private Documents folder |
| Settings (music, sound, haptics, reduced effects) | Applying your preferences | UserDefaults |
This information is never uploaded, backed up by us or shared with anyone. It may be included in your own iCloud or iTunes device backups according to your iOS settings, which are controlled by Apple, not by us.
5. Device permissions
- Camera — requested only when you choose to photograph a kit item or set an avatar. Images are saved locally and never uploaded. You can decline the permission and use the photo library instead.
- Photo library — the App uses Apple's system photo picker, which lets you choose a single image without granting the App access to your whole library.
You can change any permission at any time in iOS Settings.
6. Tracking and third parties
The App does not track you across apps or websites and contains no tracking domains. It does not use analytics, crash reporting services, advertising networks, social plug-ins or any third-party SDKs. The App Privacy manifest bundled with the App declares no tracking and no collected data types.
7. Deleting your data
Everything the App stores is deleted when you use "Reset all progress" in Settings or delete the App from your device. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
8. Children's privacy
The App is suitable for all ages. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and does not require a child to provide any information to play.
9. Support requests
If you contact us through our support page or by email, we receive the email address and message you choose to send. We use this information only to answer your request and keep it no longer than needed to resolve it. We do not add you to mailing lists or share your message with third parties.
10. Security
Your data stays inside the App's private sandbox on your device, protected by iOS security features such as device encryption and passcode. Since no data is transmitted, there is no data in transit to protect.
11. Medical disclaimer
Content in the Field Codex is for learning through play and is not medical advice, diagnosis or training. Always seek professional help in a real emergency.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
